Help During a Time of Crisis
When a senior is temporarily unable to care for a pet due to a medical emergency, hospitalization, or other serious hardship, Petey’s Playground may be able to help. In some cases, care can happen in the pet’s own home. In others, the pet may be placed in a loving foster home until the owner is ready to return.
Protecting the Bond Between Pets and People
Whenever possible, our goal is reunion. If returning home is no longer possible, Petey’s Playground can also help guide the search for a safe, loving new home for the pet.

IMPORTANT! - Create a 'Pet Trust'
Planning ahead can help protect your pet’s future. Setting up a Pet Trust with a lawyer or paralegal can help ensure your pet is cared for if something happens to you. A Pet Trust should include instructions for your pet’s future care and custody, permission for your pet to be placed with a specific person or organization, financial provisions for your pet’s care, directions for any remaining funds once they are no longer needed, the name of a trustee to manage and distribute those funds, and your veterinarian’s name and address so medical records can be accessed if needed. Unlike a Will, which is not enforced until after probate, a Pet Trust can take effect immediately.
