About Petey’s Playground

Petey’s Playground is a foster-based pet rescue serving seniors throughout the Yarnell-Peeples Valley area, including Congress, North Ranch, Yarnell, Peeples Valley, Kirkland, Wilhoit, Skull Valley, and nearby rural communities.

Founded in 2012, our organization was built on a simple but meaningful goal - helping seniors preserve the bond they share with their pets. We understand how important that relationship can be, especially during times of illness, transition, or uncertainty.

While our original focus was providing temporary care and housing for pets when an owner faced a medical emergency, our mission has grown over the years.

Today, we offer a broader range of support designed to improve the lives of both seniors and their pets.

We help seniors find the right companion animal for their home and lifestyle. We assist with behavioral issues that may be affecting the relationship between pets and their people.

We provide short-term care during medical emergencies, and when necessary, we help place pets in loving new homes if an owner is unable to return to their previous living situation.

There is no charge for our services.
